Sound Editing Update: Behind the Scenes Today, we started editing the sound for our film, carefully balancing diegetic and non-diegetic elements to enhance the storytelling. Editing Software Used: We use Adobe Audition to clean up audio, adjust levels, and mix in sound effects and music. Who Did What? •    chrusleah focused on cleaning up dialogue, removing background noise, and syncing audio with video. •    Janai and audriana worked on layering and adjusting sound effects for a more immersive atmosphere. •    kennise selected and integrated music from the provided copyright-free tracks. Sound Design Choices: •    Diegetic Sound: We enhanced footsteps, rustling leaves, and distant city noise to maintain realism in the park scene. •    Non-Diegetic Sound: We added a soft, eerie score during the later scenes to build suspense. •    Music Selection: We ch...

Editing post 1 blog

We used adobe premiere to edit our videos which allows us to fine-tune every scene and we applied color grading to enhance the mood and make scenes more vibrant and flickering light effects we used fade ins and cross dissolves challenges we came across was matching the audio with the sound and used audio sync to fix that problem Janai edited the scenes she didn’t take any screenshots but we will add them soon

Challenges in filming

My team is doing well, and everyone is pulling their weight to ensure the project runs smoothly. We are working efficiently together, staying committed, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the process. The main challenges we are facing are the weather conditions and remembering lines, but we are finding ways to adapt. Despite these obstacles, we continue to push forward, supporting each other and staying focused on our goal.

Tittle sequence

Our tittle sequence transitions from warmth to suspense, reflecting the story's shift in tone. We choose a sunset-inspired color palette like peach, purple, or deep blue that suddenly darkens, creating an unsettling atmosphere. We combined Playfair Display with Patrick Hand. The text appears with sot fades and dissolves like mist, Enhancing the mystery. The sequence opens with a slow zoom into lake, with the lingering before vanishing into darkness. This combination of color of color , font , and motion ensures a smooth yet haunting transition, immersing the audience in the story's mood

Color use blog post

  1. Setting & Background: • At first, the colors are  warm and peaceful . The sunset is  golden, pink, and orange , making the park feel safe and calm. • As night comes, the colors  change to dark and cool tones . The  streetlights flicker , and  shadows grow , making the place feel spooky and strange. 2. Costumes: • Lila’s clothes  are  soft, warm colors  like brown, red, or green. This shows she is  kind, smart, and friendly . • Ethan’s outfit  is  gray or dark blue , making him seem  mysterious . • When Ethan  changes , his  eyes turn black , his face looks  pale , and the light around him seems  darker . This shows something  scary  is happening to him. 3. Props: • Lila’s book  is  old and loved , showing she enjoys stories and learning. It also makes her feel safe in a world she understands. • The coffee cups   s eem simple and friendly, but later, they...

Supporting character analysis

The character analysis is that stereotypically speaking Laila is a typical artsy black girl and Ethan is a typical black boy who's creepy and weird.  If I’m describing what they wear and how they act i would say that Laila is sweet , caring , and demure and she dress super cutesy and artsy and i would say that Ethan is a cool boy and a creep but kind and he dress dark and emo Laila is nice and kind and Ethan is weird  Laila is happy and Motivated by school and art and owning a art museum called La’wei paintings and Ethan is a cool guy he’s motivated by Graduating and going to the Navy The props help a lot to the setting him having coffee means he coming back from the coffee shop and Laila having a book meaning she just wants a day at the park
