Our first day of filming was a mix of excitement and challenges! Here’s a breakdown:
What Went Well:
The team was motivated and ready to go. Everyone was on the same page, and we had a solid plan in place. The setup went smoothly, and the actors performed well in their first scenes.
We were able to capture some great footage in terms of lighting and framing. The locations we chose were visually stunning, and the shots were coming out just how we envisioned them.
The sound team did a fantastic job setting up mics, and the ambient noise didn’t interfere too much with recording.
Challenges:
The weather turned out to be more unpredictable than we expected. There were some unexpected gusts of wind, which affected both sound and camera stability. Some of the actors struggled with line delivery, especially in the more emotional scenes, and we had to redo a couple of takes.
The equipment was a bit more complicated to operate than we anticipated, and some settings on the cameras were slightly off, leading to some footage being overexposed.
Remaining Shooting Schedule:
And we planned out the remaining days to focus on completing all exterior shots, some interior shots, and additional scenes that didn’t t quite work out on day one.
We are going to have a few reshoots for the scenes with line delivery issues, and we will also need to address some continuity challenges in the next filming session.
The rest of the filming should take about 3-4 more days if everything goes as planned.
For sound and video, we did have to do some adjustments. The wind caused some distortion in the audio, but we should be able to clean that up in post-production. Video-wise, the overexposed shots need to be reshot with proper settings, but the overall footage is usable.
